Their Stories

I was a gifted high school track athlete who had no intentions of running track in college. Through mentoring, I attended a Division 1 college and ran track on a partial athletic scholarship. I now have my masters degree and I am teaching 5th  grade. Clarke Kole

I had dreams of attending a Division 1 school to play football on a full scholarship. Through mentoring with Coach Hooper, I found a better fit for me. I attended and graduated from the United States Naval Academy and played Sprint Football, a varsity football program at the Naval Academy. I have since graduated and am now attending flight school.

I always wanted to attend an academic elite school and play basketball. Even though I was not recruited for a D1 basketball program my mentor helped me realize that I could still fulfill my dreams. I played 4 years on UNC's junior varsity basketball team, while attending on a full academic scholarship. I am now in medical school at North Carolina. 

Apply to college and starting all the applications is a very stressful process. I was unsure of how or where to start, but one of the mentors helped me every step of the way. I now have a 4-year NROTC Scholarship to the University of Notre Dame and plan on participating in club sports in college. I am incredibly grateful for all the assistance and guidance!
